Unless you have arranged for a pick-up with your hotel, it is advisable to avail of the airport taxi service. The distance to the conference hotels is just over 6 kilometers, and can take between 15 minutes to half an hour depending on the time of day. Kathmandu Airport provides two prepaid taxi counters—one located inside the arrival lobby and another situated outside the lobby within the parking area.

Taxi fare

The standard taxi fare from Kathmandu Airport to Lazimpat, where the Hotels are located is NPR 1,000. For trips between 9:00 pm and 6:00 pm, an additional night-time surcharge of NPR 100 applies. Passengers are required to pay the taxi fare in advance at the prepaid counter. Both Nepali Rupees (NPR) and US Dollars (USD) are accepted as payment.

Local sim cards can be purchased at the airport. Please ensure that you bring a passport-sized photo to attach to your sim card application form.
